Visa for Syrian Nationals

VISA FOR SYRIAN NATIONALS

TOURIST VISA

Requirements for issue of Tourist Visa:-

•  Original Passport (valid for a minimum period of six months at the time of submission of  visa application)
•  Two recent Passport size coloured photographs
•  Visa Application Form duly completed.
•  Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Syrian Pounds
•  Copy of Syrian ID card
•  Proof of residence
•  Identity certificate
•  Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application form

BUSINESS VISA

Requirements for issue of Business Visa:-

•  Original Passport (valid for a minimum period of six months at the time of submission of  visa application)
•  Two recent Passport size coloured photographs
•  Visa Application Form duly completed.
•  Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Syrian Pounds
•  A letter of request from a business establishment in Syria attested by chamber of commerce.
•  Company’s registration document with the Syrian chambers of Commerce.
•  Letter of invitation from Indian Co.
•  Applicant’s business/visiting card.
•  Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application form

TRANSIT VISA

Requirements for issue of Transit Visa:-

• Original Passport (valid for a minimum period of six months at the time of submission of  visa application)
• Marine passport/booklet in case the applicant is a Seaman and has to join a ship at some  Indian Port
• A letter of recommendation from the Shipping Company in respect of Seamen for joining ship in India.
• Two recent Passport size coloured photographs
• Visa Application Form  duly completed.
• Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Syrian Pounds.
• Confirmed through Air Ticket of the onward journey along with photocopy thereof.
• Visa for the country(ies) of destination.
• Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application form

STUDENT VISA

Requirements for issue of Student Visa:-

• Original Passport with sufficient validity to cover the period of studies at the time of submission of visa application.
• Two recent Passport size coloured photographs
• Visa Application Form  duly completed.
• Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Syrian Pounds
• Confirmed letter of admission to a full time course in a recognized/reputed educational institution in India, in original, along with a photocopy thereof.  Provisional STV valid for six months will be issued if Provisional letter of admission is submitted from a recognized/reputed educational institution in India.
• A letter of financial support from the parent / guardian along with a bank guarantee for the duration of the course/study.
• Evidence of transfer of adequate funds for at least four months sustenance in India, or production of equivalent travelers’ cheques, to the satisfaction of the Mission.
• An undertaking from parents/guardian for meeting all the expenses for their child/children studying in India and to the effect that their child will not be engaged in any unlawful and undesirable activity.
• Attested copies of educational certificates/marks sheets.
• Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application form

ENTRY VISA

(not covered by other type of visas viz. visa to visit relatives, professional work, meetings, study tours, sport teams or longer stay).

Requirements for issue of Visit Visa:-

• Original Passport (valid for a minimum period of six months at the time of submission of  visa application)
• Two recent Passport size coloured photographs
• Visa Application Form duly completed.
• Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Syrian Pounds
• Letter from the local sponsoring Syrian Company giving brief profile of the company and identifying the applicant
• Supporting evidence from the inviting organization in India
• Names and complete addresses of relatives to be visited in India.
• Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application form

MEDICAL VISA (MV) / MEDICAL ATTENDANT VISA(MXV)

Requirements for issue of MV/MXV Visa:-

• Original Passport (valid for a minimum period of six months at the time of submission of  visa application)
• Two recent Passport size coloured photographs
• Visa Application Form duly completed.
• Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Syrian Pounds
•  Preliminary medical advice from local Syrian Doctor/Hospital
• Medical Reports / Hospital References in case of medical treatment, identifying the applicant.
• Bank statement in the name of applicant or an Affidavit along with bank statement of the sponsor.
• A Letter of admission/recommendation from the hospital in India.
• Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application form

(Medical Attendant Visa is granted to the spouse/children or those who are blood relatives of the patient)

EMPLOYMENT VISA

Requirements for issue of Employment Visa:-

• Original Passport with sufficient validity to cover the period of employment or more at the time of submission of visa application.
• Two recent Passport size coloured photographs
• Visa Application Form duly completed.
• Applicable Visa Fee in Cash Syrian Pounds
• he applicant should be a skilled and qualified professional or person who is being engaged or appointed by a company, organization, industry, or undertaking etc. in India on contract or employment basis at a senior level, skilled position such as technical expert, senior executive, or in a managerial position etc.
• A letter, in original, regarding the offer of appointment from employer in India.
• Original contract, with a copy thereof, signed with the employer in India indicating the designation, salary offered, other terms and conditions of appointment and the name of the company for whom he/she will be working in India.  Documentary proof of registration of the company under the Companies Act etc. in India may be produced.
• An undertaking from the employer, on the Company’s letterhead, signed by the competent authority and with the company’s stamp, certifying as follows:

 “We take full responsibility for the activities and conduct of Mr./Mrs. (Full Name), national of (country) during his/her stay in India.  If anything adverse against him/her comes to our notice during the period, we undertake to repatriate him/her at our cost”.

• Applicant to be present in person.
• Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application form

JOURNALIST VISA

Only for professional journalists, media support crew and photographers. Journalists and media personnel traveling to India for work-related purpose need special clearance.  The requirements are: (a) Duly filled-in Visa application Form,  (b) 2 colour photographs (c) Requisite visa fee (SP 5600) (d) Letter from the sponsoring news agency (e) Supporting evidence from the inviting organization in India (f) Air ticket (g) Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application form

CONFERENCE VISA

Issued for attending conferences/seminars/meetings in India.  The requirements are: (a) A letter from the local company/institution giving its brief profile, identifying the applicant, sponsoring him and specifying the purpose of the visit. (b) A letter of invitation from the organizer of the conference.  Where relevant, the consular officer may also require proof of approval of the concerned Indian authorities for holding the conference.(c) Visa application  (d) Two coloured photographs, (e) Requisite visa fee (SP 5600), (f) Confirmed return air ticket, and (g) Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application form.  (Delegates coming to attend conferences may combine tourism with attending conferences.)

DIPLOMATIC / OFFICIAL VISA

Requirements for issue of Diplomatic / Official Visa:-

•  Original Passport (valid for a minimum period of six months at the time of submission of  visa application)
•  Two recent Passport size coloured photographs
•  Visa Application Form  duly completed.
•  Note Verbale from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicating the purpose of the visit.
•  Passport should bear applicant’s signature as on the application.
