The 72nd Republic Day of India was celebrated on 26 January 2021 at the Embassy of India in Brasilia. Members of the Mission along with their families, Indian community and Friends of India participated in the event with great enthusiasm. Ambassador Shri. Suresh Reddy unfurled the National Flag and read the address of Hon'ble President of India to the Nation.
2. In his remarks, Ambassador said that India and Brazil enjoy very warm and cordial relations. Showcasing a video, Ambassador highlighted achievements of the State Visit of the Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to India (24-27 January 2020). Speaking about the supply of the COVID-19 vaccines and other essential medicines to Brazil, Ambassador said that India is Pharmacy of the World and is committed to help its key partners in these difficult times.
3. Lastly, he thanked the Indian Community for their contribution towards strengthening the warm and friendly ties between the two countries. About 60 people attended the morning event.
