Travel Advisory for Entering into Brazil (14.05.2021)

On 14 May 2021, the Brazilian Government, vide its Ordinance No. 653, has temporarily prohibited the entry of foreign passengers on flights from the United Kingdom, South Africa, and India.

2. The following categories of travelers are exempted from the restrictions:

i. native or naturalized Brazilians; 

ii. immigrants with permanent residence in Brazil; 

iii. foreign professionals on a mission at the service of an international organization; 

iv. foreign officials accredited by the Brazilian Government; 

v. foreigners who have a spouse, partner, child, father, or guardian of a Brazilian, or who have entry authorized specifically by the Brazilian government or bearer of a national migration registration. 

vi. Cargo Transportation

The exempted category of travelers, with origin or history of passage through the UK, South Africa, and India in the last fourteen days prior to entering Brazil, would be quarantined for 14 days.

3. The other foreigners can enter the country and would have to prove, through the RT-PCR test, their Covid-19 negative status. All those travelling to Brazil must present the following documents to the airline, prior to boarding:

I - a negative Covid-19 PCR test done not more than 72 hours before the time of departure; 

II - Traveller Health Declaration ("Declaração de Saúde do Viajante - DSV") agreeing to comply with all preventive measures against Covid-19 during the stay in Brazil
