On the occasion of World fisheries Day (WFD) the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MoFAH&D),Government of India is organizing it first edition of Global Fisheries Conference 2023 (GFC-2023) from 21st-22nd November, 2023 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. World fisheries Day is celebrated each year on 21st November to highlight the importance of sustainable and responsible harnessing and managing marine and inland fisheries resources. With an unwavering commitment to the persistent growth of this vital sector, the Global Fisheries Conference offers a unique platform for various value chain players (fishers, fish farmers, FFPOs, SHGs, input suppliers, processors, marketers etc.), policy-makers, researchers, academicians, sector experts, and enthusiasts to chart the course for the future. It is an opportunity to explore the R&D, challenges and opportunities that are shaping the fisheries landscape.
