The Embassy of India, Bahrain caters to the requirement of about 3.5 lakh Indian nationals residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Embassy has outsourced following services to M/s IVS Global Services Private Ltd, Bahrain:

  •  Issue/re-issue of Passport
  •  Renewal of Passport
  •  Birth Registration
  •  Miscellaneous Passport Services; and
  •  Issue of Police Clearance Certificate or any other misc. certificate based on the Passport

IMPORTANT

As part of worldwide implementation  of Passport Seva Project, the Global Passport Seva Program has been rolled out in Bahrain. Members of the Indian Community in Bahrain are advised to use the new portal https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in for availing Passport Services with effect from  20 March  2019.

Steps to apply for Passport Services online at https:IIembassy.passportindia.gov.in

  1.  Create USER  ID
  2.  Login using the USER ID  and fill the  application form
  3.  Submit the form  online
  4.  Take  a print out of the  application
  5.  Affix photo at the designated place (Quick guide for applicants regarding requirement of photograph while applying for the Indian Passport)
  6.  Signature to  be  done in  the  presence of Submission Officer  at the IVS Centre.
  7.  Submit  the  print  out  of   the    application  along  with required documents and prescribed fee at the  IVS centre.

3Birth Registration New Born Baby

Indian national parents of children born abroad shall apply online at MHA website https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in/Home2.aspx?formcode=09 to register the birth of their children within one year of the birth.                                  After applying online, applicants shall safely keep the internet file number generated after submission of the online form and then print out a hard copy of the application and submit the same at the Embassy for registration of birth with Form-I (pdf) and documents detailed below: 

 
1. A copy of birth registration certificate of the child issued by Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Bahrain
2. A copy of the passport of both the parentsBR Registration-  9.5
3. A copy of the certificate of Indian citizenship if acquired by registration/naturalization
4. A copy of the marriage certificate of the parents
5. One recent passport size photograph with white backgroundIndian community welfare fund - 1/-
6. Photocopy of both parents’ passports and Visa (Original to be shown for verification) 
7. At least one of the parents should have spouse’s name endorsed in the passport.
Note:- In case one of the parent happens to be foreign national, a NOC certificate from the Embassy of the foreign country stating that the child has not been registered as their citizen and not issued any passport, may also be submitted. There is no need to bring the new born child to the Embassy of India, Bahrain.
4Surrender of Indian Passport / Renunciation of Indian CitizenshipApplicants are required to fill online application form at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in and carry a printout of the filled in application form.Fee – 9.500 (If nationality obtained before 01/06/2010)- 
Fee – 58/- (If nationality obtained on or after 1/06/2010)  Indian community welfare fund - 2/- Penalty charges if any
Two recent passport-size photographs of 2 inch x 2 inch with white background. 
Passport in original, including those previous Indian passports valid at the time of acquisition of foreign nationality if any, and photocopies of pages first two, last two and pages containing valid visa and other observations.
Valid foreign passport, along with previous foreign passports if any, and photocopies of pages first two, last two and pages containing valid visa and other observations.
Certificate of Registration/Naturalisation of foreign nationality and its copy.
Declaration Form prescribed u/s 8 of the Citizenship Act, duly
attested by the Embassy of India, India.  An Indian citizen with
valid passport and visa (copies to be submitted) to sign the 2nd part of the Declaration Form.
Payment of penalty, if any, to be checked by the
Embassy in terms of existing relevant instructions.
The Indian passport will be cancelled and returned along with Surrender Certificate.
Note:- Renunciation form submitted only in the Embassy. 
5Issue of Emergency Certificate for one-way travel to India Applicants are required to fill online application form at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in and carry a printout of the filled in application form.  Fee- 5.   Indian community welfare fund - 1/-
· Copy of Final Exit or Letter from sponsor undertaking to
get exit visa issued (not required for those on visit visa). 
· Copy of Passport and Original Passport if available.
· Recent passport size photographs of 2 inch x 2 inch with white background.  
Note:- Applications for issue of Emergency Certificate are accepted in the Embassy between 0830 - 1230 hrs. (Sunday to Thursday)
6Misc. Services Application form are required to fill Offline (Form.1. PDF) with
Original Passport and submitted to the Embassy.

Note:- In case CLEAR police report is not available in the system,
PCC will be issued only after receipt of CLEAR police report on re-verification.

1.  Fee mentioned is as prescribed by the Government of India and is subject to change without prior notice. The applicable fee will be informed to the applicant at the counter at the time of acceptance of documents.

2.  Reference cases relate to passports issued by Passport Offices in India and Indian Embassies/High Commissions/Consulates other than Embassy of India, Bahrain

3.  Cases requiring reference will be serviced upon receipt of clearance from the concerned Passport office in India/Indian Missions and Posts abroad. Service will be rendered after 30 days from the date of issue of the Embassy's communication if no reply is received within this time.

4.  Recent 2" X 2" size frontal view color photograph(s) taken against white background without coloured/dark glasses and without uniform will be accepted. Please do not staple the photo nor sign across it.

5.  Passport Service Form and Personal Particulars Form as also certain commonly required affidavits are available in the Embassy or can be downloaded from the website.

6.  For change of address the following document(s) may be submitted (any two proof):

  • Ration Card 
  • Telephone Bill
  • Electricity Bill
  • Water Tax Bill
  • Election Commission’s Identity Card
  • Gas connection
  • Pass Book/Account Statement from Bank/Post Office
  • Driving License
  • Document(s) of Residential Property purchased
  • Spouse’s Passport copy
  • Parents’ passport copy (in case of Minors)
  • Income Tax assessment order /return
  • Arms License


7.   Proof of residence submitted in a language other than Hindi/English, should be accompanied with a translation in Hindi/English in the prescribed sworn affidavit.

 

Global Entry Program (GEP) of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for Indian Citizens

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Members enter the United States through automatic kiosks at select U.S. airports 

How to Apply for Global Entry:

Citizens of India are eligible for Global Entry. Applications must be submitted through CBP’s Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) website 

With effect from 1st October 2019 the application for background check for GEP for Indian citizens in Bahrain are acceptable at Embassy of India, Bahrain. Application Process for background check for GEP is as follows:

1. Apply Online with US CBP: Apply and complete application process at TTP website https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry  of US CBP.

2. For the applicants presently living in Bahrain, after completion of step ‘1’, he/she needs to submit the requisite information in the website of Global Passport Seva Project (https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/ ) for completion of background check in India. After completion of online submission, he/she should submit the application at IVS (outsourced agency) office, along with the applicable fee of BD 9.5 and required original documents.
