Prohibition on Carrying of Satellite Phones Into India by Foreigners
1. Foreigners who are visiting India are advised that as per the existing guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, carrying of satellite phones by foreigners into India is BANNED.
2. Ministry by the Ministry of Home Affairs has informed that some foreigners carrying satellite phones with them while coming to India were intercepted and their satellite phones were seized by the Government authorities in India, and legal actions were initiated against such foreign travelers for violation of rules of Government of India.
3. These guidelines may please be adhered to by the foreign travelers to India.
