Government of India's assistance for the medical treatment of eight Afghans injured in the Deh Mazang terror attack in Kabul.

1. The deadly suicide bombing at Deh Mazang Square in Kabul on 23rd July 2016 killed and injured several peaceful Afghan protestors.  Government of India and its people share the pain of our Afghan brothers and sisters who continue to suffer at the hands of terrorists and those opposed to peace and progress in Afghanistan.

2. In this hour of need, Government of India has facilitated medical treatment for eight critically injured Afghan citizens in this attack at Indian hospitals in New Delhi. All the patients have already reached New Delhi and are undergoing specialised medical care and surgical procedure to help them recover expeditiously.

3. Every year Government of India is also sending, 60 injured Afghan soldiers of Afghanistan National Security Forces to India for medical treatment. This year, Government of India facilitated medical treatment for four brave Afghan security personnel injured critically while protecting our Consulate General in Mazar-e-Sharif from terror attack on 3- 4 January 2016. Four Afghan National Police Cadets injured in 30th June 2016 suicide attack were also sent for specialised treatment in India under Government of India assistance.

India stands with our Afghan brothers and sisters in time of needs and pray for early recovery of the injured Afghan brothers and sisters in Deh Mazang Square terror attack.
