To undertake a market survey and prepare a database of importers/ distributors of products of specified sectors of the Uzbekistan's economy

Embassy of India in Tashkent invites competitive bids from qualified and experienced market research companies to undertake a market survey and prepare a data base of importers/ distributors of products of specified sectors of the Uzbeki economy. The survey has to be designed to develop a better understanding of the potential for developing enhanced trade links between these companies and India.

2.      As per the scope of the project, the market research companies would be required to undertake a survey of the Uzbek market (particular reference to small & medium companies) in the following sectors:

  •  Textiles & handicrafts (Cotton, wool, silk, jute products: Apparel / cloth)
  •  Pharmaceuticals and surgical/ non-surgical medical supplies
  •   Agriculture, farming and horticulture ( inputs- seeds & fertilizers)
  •  Food and non-alcoholic beverages (Tea, coffee etc.) , processed foods & warehousing
  • Engineering goods ( electrical items, pumps, mech appliances, weaving machines, textile machineries, shafts & cranks, high grade steels, washing machine etc. products,
  • Infrastructure and building (cement, stone, ceramic, marble tiles, wood, articles of  iron & steel, glass & wood)

 

3.      At the end of the project, the market research company is required to provide a database of local companies dealing with or importing products of these sectors. The data base shall include details such as name and address of the company, name and designation of the focal person, e-mail IDs and mobile numbers. The database is required to be provided in both hard/ soft format (MS Excel). A preliminary report indicating the progress of work being undertaken for review with Embassy officers within 20 working days of commissioning of the work. Final Report to be submitted by the agency hired within 40 working days of commissioning the work, incorporating the suggestions/amendments in the initial findings of the Study. All research, results, suggestions, reports, etc. will be the property of the Embassy of India, Tashkent and Embassy will use the material as appropriate.

4.      The quotations are to be submitted in sealed covers, on their company letter head by August 10, 2017 by 1700 hours to the Head of Chancery, Embassy of India,Kara-Bulak str. (Vakhshskaya)Street,Mirzo Ulugbek District, Tashkent-700052 (Uzbekistan) with superscription “Commercial- Market Survey 2017”. 5. After examination of the bids by the Embassy of India, the most competitive bidder will be informed accordingly. The Embassy of India reserves the right to accept/reject any bid(s) without assigning any reason therefor.
