Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2018 celebrations in Kandym near Bukhara
Embassy of India, Tashkent, organized an event in Kandym near Bukhara for Indians working at The Hyundai Engineering Co. on 13 January on Lohri. About 100 Indians, including engineers, workers, and other staff working in the company, participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
Ambassador Shri Vinod Kumar, in his remarks, spoke about various initiatives for Indians working overseas and conveyed to them the appreciation of the Hyundai project management of the contribution of Indian nationals to the success of the project. Video clippings on PBD and excerpts of Prime Minister’s address to the PIO Parliamentarian’s Conference and EAM’s message, and an audio-visual presentation on Indian community in Uzbekistan were shown.
