- Journalist Visa
J-1 - Journalist visa is granted to a professional journalist, photographer, documentary film producer or director (other than of commercial films), a representative of a radio and/or television organization, travel writer/travel promotion photographer etc. visiting India for any other purpose, such as attending a conference, tourism, meeting relatives etc. J-2 – Journalist visa is issued to applicants (supporting crew) who intend to shoot advertisement, documentary, films etc. Documents required for J1 visa: - Copy of passport with at least 6 months’ validity from the date of proposed arrival date in India.
- Copy of E-Taskira or paper Taskira attested by National Statistics & Information Authority.
- Polio vaccination certificate
- Identity card of the organization the applicant is working for.
- A letter from the employer informing the purpose of the visit by the applicant.
- Invitation letter from an accredited media organization in India, if any, specifically mentioning the purpose for the visit.
Documents required for J2 visa: - Copy of passport with at least 6 months’ validity from the date of proposed arrival date in India.
- Copy of E-Taskira or paper Taskira attested by National Statistics & Information Authority.
- Polio vaccination certificate
- Letter of employer specifically mentioning details of the project.
- Jawaz/Business license of the concerned media house duly attested by MoFA, Afghanistan.
- Name of Indian media house / logistic support company supporting the applicant.
