High Commission of India Nicosia *** Advisory on recording of “Rashtra Gaan”
As part of celebrations to mark 75 years of India’s Independence “India75 - Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Government of India has launched a web portal https://rashtragaan.in. Indian Citizens in Cyprus are requested to record and upload their own videos on this web portal singing the National Anthem of India. It would be presented live on 15th August 2021. 2. The following steps need to followed for singing and uploading the video: a) Open https://rashtragaan.in b) Click on “Proceed” or on the right click botton right → (in case of mobile devices) c) Enter your name in the box below the headline “Please enter your name here” and select the correct option in “Your Age Group”, Enter the Country name from where the video is being recorded/uploaded. The click on “Let’s Sing” or on the right click at bottom right → (in case of mobile devices) d) Align your face to the scree (At this stage the portal may ask for permission to reocrd audio and video from the device being used). e) Once the face is aligned, Press on “Record” – The national anthem music will start playing after a countdown from 3 and the text of the national antehem (in Hindi) will be visible for use of those recording a video. f) Once the video has been recorded, there will be an option to listen to the recording before uploading or Restart ( this will initiate the process on the portal ab-initio). If the individual is satisfied with the playback of the recording, Press Upload to enable the portal to save the video. 3. It is informed that the person uploading the National Anthem on the above mentioned portal will be authomatically issued a Certificate. It is requested that after downloading the Certificate, the same may also kindly be sent by email to culture.nicosiamea.gov.in. ***** 4 August 2021
