    High Commissioner, Ms. Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of 75th Republic Day of India at High Commission of India Complex. The Republic Day celebrations included reading out the President's address to the Nation and cultural events. The event was attended by Indian diaspora in Cyprus (26 January 2024)

    High Commission of India held an official Reception to commemorate the 75th Republic Day of India at High Commission of India Complex. H.E. Michalis Damianos, Minister of Health graced the occassion. H.E. Prof. Vasiliki Kassianidou, Deputy Minister of Culture was the Guest of Honour. The event was attended by the Government officials , diplomatic community and the Indian diaspora (26 January 2024).

    High Commission of India in collaboration with Sanskriti Cyprus screened the auspicious pran-pratishta ceremony Live from Ayodhya Ram Mandir at Shri Radhey Krishna Community Centre, Nicosia. High Commissioner, Ms. Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat alongwith the Indian diaspora participated at the event (22 January 2024).

    High Commission of India celebrated Vishwa Hindi Diwas at High Commission of India Complex. The message of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on Vishwa Hindi Diwas was read by the High Commissioner, Ms. Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat. The event was attended by large number of Indian diaspora in Cyprus. Various competitions like recitation of Hindi poem, Hindi story telling and speech recitation were organised at the event.     High Commission of India celebrated Pravasi Bharatiya Divas at High Commission of India Complex. Prominent Indian diaspora shared their experiences at the event. The event was attended by large number of Indian diaspora in Cyprus (09 January 2024).

    The High Commission of India in collaboration with Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) organized an event focusing on professional engagement with Indian Women Entrepreneurs & Business Community. High Commissioner Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in the Indian Diaspora, as well as their role and involvement in a changing world. The event also showcased business women from the Indian community and Winky Singh, Founder of ‘Fashion for a Cause, Charity on Wheels’. An exhibition of Indian handicrafts & textiles of India was organised. (05 January 2024).
