Indian Foreign Ministry has revealed that Akhilesh Mishra has been appointed as the High Commissioner to the Maldives.
The announcement was made in a brief statement issued on the Ministry’s website.
The statement said that Akhilesh Mishra (lFS:1989), Consul General of lndia, Toronto, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of lndia to the Republic of Maldives.
Incumbent High Commissioner Rajiv Shahare has been appointed as an Ambassador of India to Denmark. In his tenure as Ambassador, Shahare had initiated many endeavors to improve relations between the two nations and had facilitated many projects that had benefited the Maldives. |
