Several Indian Media Sources have reported that Foreign Secretary Dr. Ali Naseer is to visit India on a state visit.
The reports said that during his visit Dr. Ali Naseer will hold discussions on further enhancing bilateral relations and on regional politics. The reports also noted that there were some concerning issues in the relationship between the two nations, noting that India’s Foreign Secretary Dr. Jaishankar had visited in the recent days.
Indian media have speculated that there were many issues behind the delay of visit to the Maldives by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Government of Maldives continues to state that India is the biggest ally, stressing that the relationship with China is purely business. |
