India begins largest ever medical camp in Maldives - Haveeru Online, Feb 14, 2016 |
India kicked off Sunday a medical camp in Maldives with an unprecedented level of participation from the regional superpower's specialist doctors. The medical camp, held from Sunday till Tuesday at the state run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in capital Male is run by a urologist (urinary system specialist), nephrologist (kidney specialist) and a specialist of body defects. This marks the first health expo India is holding in the Maldives, with the participation of 18 hospitals of India, including famous names such as Apollo Hospitals, Ananthapuri Hospitals, Manipal Hospitals, NU Hospitals and Rajan Dental. India is the preferred destination for Maldivians who often travel abroad to receive medical treatment. |
