Indian Navy aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya, frontline missile destroyer INS Maisoor and fleet tanker INS Deepak has arrived in Maldives on Monday.

The Navy ships are in Maldives on a four-day trip as a symbol of close ties between India Maldives – especially in the field of defense and security.

INS Vikramaditya is 285 meters long and 60 meters wide, and the newest aircraft carrier to join the fleet.

The ship participated in International Fleet Review held in India from February 7 to 9, and the trip to Maldives will be the first trip made by the ship out of India.

INS Vikaramaditya is to stay in Maldives until February 18. Opportunity to board the ship will be provided on February 16 and February 17.
