Public Notice for Visa Applicants

IMPLEMENTATION OF ONLINE VISA APPLICATION SYSTEM

W.e.f. May 3, 2015, the Consulate General of India, Herat has implemented online visa application system. The new visa system also involves enrollment of fingerprint and facial biometrics of the visa applicants would be implemented in due course.

Afghan visa applicants with ordinary passports would be required to register the visa applications at the website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in  and thereafter are required to submit the printout of visa application(s) at the visa counter of Consulate General of India, Herat, East of Bagh Millat, Roodaki Road, 5th Sub-District, Herat (Afghanistan).

Afghan Service and Diplomatic passport holders as well as non-Afghanistan foreigners holding Service and Diplomatic Passports are required to register the visa applications at the website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in   and thereafter are required to submit the printout of visa application(s) directly at the Consular Wing of the Consulate. These visa applications should be accompanied with Note Verbale of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan or Note Verbale from their respective Embassies, as applicable.

Non-Afghan foreigners holding ordinary passports are required to register the visa applications online at the website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in and submit printout of the online visa application form and supporting documents at the Consular Wing of the Consulate.

It may be noted that unless the applicant submits the printout of the online visa application at the Consulate after duly registering the application at the website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in,  the application would not be processed.
