Celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

The 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and fervor in the Embassy of India, Pyongyang on October 02, 2018 by the Indian Community in DPR Korea. At the event, floral tributes were paid to  Bapu.  Speeches were made by Shri. N.Lingi Chetty, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of India, Pyongyang, Shri Tapan Mishra, UN Resident Coordinator in DPRK, Shri. Praveen Agrawal, Country Director and Representative, World Food Programme and Shri.Kundur Satyanarayana, Acting Representative, UNFPA on the subject 'The relevance of Mahatma Gandhi in today’s world’.  Documentary Films and  Special  Videos on Mahatma Gandhi  were  also screened on the occasion.   Dinner and refreshments were served to the attendees.
