1st Special Course for Diplomats from Sao Tome & Principe

The 1st Special Course for diplomats from Sao Tome & Principe is being held at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India on 6-18 May 2019. 04 young diplomats from Sao Tome & Principe are participating.

 The Special Course was inaugurated at FSI on 6 May 2019. On 5 May, Amb. J.S. Mukul, Dean (FSI) hosted a welcome reception for the diplomats from Sao Tome & Principe. The Special Course would include modules on India’s foreign policy, key international issues, multilateral diplomacy and diplomatic skills. The Sao Tome & Principe diplomats would also get an exposure to India’s economic and technological development and undertake study tours to experience the rich cultural heritage of India.

India and Sao Tome & Principe (STP) have always enjoyed warm and friendly relations, particularly after 1975 (post-STP independence era). India and STP are keen to develop closer ties.
