Know India Programme

Government of India has announced 50th KIP as “SPECIAL Edition of Know India Programme”, to mark the Golden Jubilee Edition of KIP, in which 49 candidates will be selected from amongst the candidates, who have already attended any of the 47 Editions of KIP and also from those who will be attending the 48th and 49th KIPs, scheduled to be held from 25th October, 2018 and 20th November, 2018 respectively. This is to select one candidate from each of the 1st to 49th KIP participants to be part of this Special Edition of KIP. In addition, one candidate will be selected from the fresh applicants. A total of 50 participants will be selected for Special Edition of Know India Programme.

The duration of the participants of Gold Jubilee KIP in India will be 7 days from 20th January to 26th January 2019 including arrival and departure.  The participants will also have the opportunity to participate in PBD Convention 2019 at Varanasi, Kumbh Snan (The Holy Ganges Bath) and the Republic Day Parade in Delhi.

The last date of Registration for 15th PBD Convention 2019 has been extended to 31st December 2018.

The 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in association with the State Government of Uttar Pradesh will be held from January 21-23, 2019 at Varanasi. The theme of PBD convention 2019 is "Role of Indian Diaspora in building New India". Special arrangements are also being made for participation in Kumbh Mela and Republic Day parade. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origins (PIOs) in Zimbabwe are requested to visit the PBD portal and register online for their participation. The last date for registration is 31st December, 2018.
