Visa / Travel Advisory

General

  • Check if all travel documents viz passport, visa and ticket are OK.
  • Don’t openly display valuables such as mobile phones or digital cameras and consider using a padlock on suitcases or backpacks.
  • Find out about local customs and dress, behave accordingly and obey local laws - there may be serious penalties for breaking a law that might seem trivial in India.
  • Take photocopies of your passport and other important documents and keep these separate from the originals when you travel.
  • Indian nationals may enter in Cuba with a visa stamped on their passport or a tourist card. The same may be purchased at a travel agency abroad. Tourist card allows you to stay in Cuba up to 30 days, though it can be renewed for 30 more days, if required.

You may be asked by immigration officers about your interest in visiting Cuba, hotel accommodations, etc. but only on rare occasions
