Grant of e-Visa on a Passport different from the Passport mentioned on Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)

Some foreigners having e-Visa are found to be traveling to India on a Passport different from the Passport mentioned in the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) issued to them. This has caused inconvenience.

2. To further facilitate travel to India, it has been decided that foreigners traveling to India on a new Passport (even if the ETA has been issued on the old Passport) will be allowed entry in India provided they carry along with them the old Passport on which ETA was issued.
