Security AdvisoryRegarding development in India on February 9, 2013

In view of important development in India on February 9, 2013, it is being apprehended that the Anti Government Elements (AGEs) may strike against Indian interests in Afghanistan. Besides, some inputs having bearing of serious threat to Indian establishment have been received in recent past.

2. Though all the security components and measures have been sensitized in this regard, even then it is advised to be security cautious in the coming days. It is also advised that unnecessary movements in the city, including in crowded areas like restaurants, markets and Malls may also be avoided. Awareness of the prevailing security scenario via local visual/print media as well as through interaction with fellow colleagues is also suggested.

3. This advisory is being issued to keep the addressees fully aware of the perceived threats for abundant caution and not to create panic, indiscretion or fear.
