Afghan Alumni - Register with us
Capacity building and skills development is one of the key components of Government of India's Assistance Programme for Afghanistan, keeping in mind the needs of the country in this field. In pursuance of this, the Indian Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Manmohan Singh, during his official visit to Afghanistan in August 2005, announced 500 long-term ICCR Scholarships and 500 short-term ITEC Training Programmes for Afghan nationals, in the firm belief that the Afghan youth can be the vanguards in the restructuring and institutional reform of the country.

Many students from Afghanistan have pursued educational goals in India over the years and are today leaders in their respective fields of expertise. The Embassy of India aims to bring together all Afghan students who had pursued their education in India and network them on a common platform. Towards this end, Afghan Alumni are requested to register with us and find old classmates with whom they have lost contact over the years.
