Entry Visa

1. Entry Visa

X- Visa - Entry visa is granted to a person of Indian origin, his/her spouse of Indian origin, children and dependent family members for other categories for which purpose are not covered by any other visa categories.

X- Misc – Entry visa – Miscellaneous may be issued to an applicant traveling to India for the purpose of appearing for a visa interview at a third country Embassy in New Delhi.

Documents required for X-visa:

• Copy of passport with at least 6 months’ validity from the date of proposed arrival date in India.
• Copy of E-Taskira or paper Taskira attested by National Statistics & Information Authority.
• Polio vaccination certificate
• Proof of Indian origin.
• Passport copy of the Indian national related to the applicant on the basis of which the visa has been applied.
• Proof of relationship to that Indian national like Nikahanaama, in case the spouse is Indian national, or the birth certificate if the parents were Indian nationals.
• Please note that the Embassy may at its discretion request further documents to begin processing this application.

Documents required for X-Misc visa:

• Copy of passport with at least 6 months’ validity from the date of proposed arrival date in India.
• Copy of E-Taskira or paper Taskira attested by National Statistics & Information Authority.
• Polio vaccination certificate
• If the applicant is going to appear for an interview at the other Embassy located in India, a copy of the appointment letter mentioning the date and the period required for processing the visa by the concerned Embassy shall have to be submitted.
• Please note that following the visa-interview the Embassy of India could at its discretion request further documentation from the applicant.

NOTE: Grant of any type of visa is the sole discretion of the Embassy of India, Kabul.
