Carrying/Use of Satellite Phones is Illegal in India.
As per the guidelines issued by Government of India, foreigners on Indian Visas are not allowed to carry satellite phones to India for security reasons. It is therefore strongly suggested to all Afghan nationals and foreigners visiting India from Afghanistan not to carry along such satellite phones during their travels.
