E-Visa Press Briefing

India being a favorite choice for medical tourism and tourism as well for nationals of all the Central Asian countries, number of nationals of these countries travel to India for the same. The E-visa facility to these countries was withdrawn during the time of Covid and the nationals of these countries had to take paper visa to travel to India. The Embassy had been receiving regular requests for restoring the E-visa facility for Uzbekistan nationals.

We are happy to announce that E-Visa stands restored to the nationals of Uzbekistan in all five sub-categories, i.e. E-tourist Visa, E-business Visa, E-medical Visa, E-medical attendant Visa and E-conference Visa, and for entry in India through 28 designated international airports and 5 major seaports, as available to the nationals of other countries under E-Visa regime. 

It is to be noted that the visa seekers for above mentioned visa categories can apply online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/eVisa External website that opens in a new window and make payment digitally through credit card/debit card (Master card/ Visa card). The E-visa application process and requisite documents to be uploaded are mentioned in the above mentioned website.

Visa seekers from Uzbekistan are encouraged to visit the above Website for applying for E-Visa which is normally granted within 4 days.  In all cases, where E-Visa categories are not within the purposes of the visa applicants, they may continue to apply for visa to Embassy of India, Tashkent as before.
