The Government of Uzbekistan released Commemorative postage stamp on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October 2019.  First Deputy Minister of IT & Communications H.E. Mr. Olimjon Umarov & General Director of Uzbekistan Post Mr. Alisher Faizullaev graced the occasion.  

Ambassador of Bangladesh in Uzbekistan H.E. Mr. Masud Mannan, Academicians from Turin University, Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, Academic Lyceum of University of World Languages in Uzbekistan and Uzbek nationals participated in large number.
Dr. Bayot Rakhmatov, Dr. Dilafruz Khodjaeva and Dr. Pulatov Sherdor shed light on work and philosophy of Gandhiji, and its influence in Uzbekistan.

Uzbek students of Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture (LBSCIC) sung bhajan ‘Vaishav Jan to’ and presented cultural performance during the celebrations.
