Celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
The 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahamta Gandhi was launched in Mongolia with paying floral tribute at Mahatma Gandhi Statue located at Gandhi Street in Ulaanbaatar, in the Morning of 2nd October. The event was attended by Mongolian dignitaries, Members of the State Great Khural, Buddhist monks, Members of diplomatic corps, Representatives of International organizations, Indian Diaspora and friends of India. The floral tribute was paid by HE N. Enkbayar, the 3rd President of Mongolia, HE Ms. B. Undermaa, Chairperson of Mongolian –India Parliamentary Group, and Members of Parliament HE Mr. Ts. Munkh-Orgil and HE Mr. J. Batjan, Hamba Lama Ch. Dambajav, Dashchoiling Monastery, Hamba Lama D. Dashdemberel, Pethub Monastery followed by all participants. Dignitaries shared their experiences on the path of Gandhiji. Monks from the Gandan Monastery recite chanting of mantras on this occasion and Gandhi ji’s bhajans were recited by the participants.
