Painting competition among 21 Aimags' School of Mongolia Dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi "My Dream of Peace"

As a part of its school outreach programme and to commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Embassy of India in Ulaanbaatar in association with Indian Culture Centre [ICC -an Indo-Friendship Society] and Children Creativity Center [CCC], organized a painting/ drawing competition among school children in all 21 aimags of Mongolia. The title of painting competition was dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi “My Dream of Peace”.  The total 840 Mongolian students in the age group of 6-10, 11-14 and 15-18 actively participated in the Competition. All their paintings/ drawings have been exhibited in the gallery of ‘Children’s Creativity Centre, Ulaanbaatar’. The professional Independent jury selected 13 best paintings/ drawings out of 840 paintings received by CCC for Prize. The exhibition was formally inaugurated on 15th December 2018 in the presence of Mr. O.P. Meena, Charge de’ Affaires, Ms. Uranbileg, Director, CCC and Ms. L Sayanaa, Director, ICC. During inauguration ceremony, charge d’ Affaires, appreciated the efforts & spirit of Mongolian children for their participation in the competition and encouraged them to follow Gandhian principles of truth and non-violence in their lives. He congratulated all the winners in the competition. Cd’A also thanked both the Directors of ICC and CCC for hosting the competition dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and make it successful in whole aimags of Mongolia, a way of great tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
