India to Become World's 3rd Largest Automobile Aanufacturer by 2020
COIMBATORE: India's automotive industry is expected to reach 7 million vehicles milestone by 2020, making the country the third-largest auto manufacturer in the world, behind the US and China, a top official at Ford Motor has said.
The automotive sector has a direct bearing on the economy with a near 7% contribution to the GDP, playing an important role in the development of other crucial sectors as well.
India is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world and as the country moves towards this milestone, also the opportunities to build a career in the automotive sector are tremendous.
